“There is no better way to thank God for your sight than by giving a helping hand to someone in the dark.” -Helen Keller
Dear Friends and Family,
This April, I will be traveling again with OneSight for a Global Eye Care Clinic in India. Our team will consist of over 30 members including associates and doctors from around the world, all working together to help the people of India who are in need of primary vision care services. We will be traveling to the city of Jodhpur, Located in the state of Rajasthan. We will provide care to patients in several outlying villages where there is tremendous need for our services. Our goal will be to help approximately 6,000 patients in 8 days of Clinic. Please keep our team in your thoughts and prayers, and consider a monetary donation to help this very worthy cause. You can also help by donating your gently used eyeglasses.
As many of you know, I have been involved with OneSight since I began working for LensCrafters over 10 years ago. OneSight was founded on the idea that clear vision is a basic human right, not a luxury. It is our mission to restore and preserve clear vision for the over 314 million adults and children who suffer worldwide from poor vision. Poor vision impedes a child's ability to learn in school and robs an adult of independence, mobility and quality of life. Across the USA and the rest of the world we provide free vision care and eyewear to those in need. Since 1988, our efforts have helped more than 7 million people in need around the world and have granted millions of dollars towards optical research and education. This program is dear to my heart and I am passionate about the work that we do. Many of you have heard stories about my involvement in international and domestic clinics, vision vans, recycling used eyeglasses, etc. I know the dramatic change that one pair of eyeglasses can make in a person's life and that is why OneSight is so important to me!
Many of you have supported my work through OneSight in the past. Your support helps me to continue giving the gift of sight to those who need it most. Give Sight, Give Life! I humbly ask for your continued support.
With much love and gratitude,
-Mickie
